a) Have you ever met a famous person? What was that like?
b) How does it strike you that the King of kings invites you into a personal relationship with him?
2. The sermon explored the story of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem as he was preparing to go to the cross. What do you remember about each of the main points? What stood out to you or impacted you?
3. Review Luke 19:28-46. Looking at this passage again, what do you notice? Discuss it together.
4. Read Matthew 13:44-46
a) What two or three expensive items do you wish you could afford?
b) What does Jesus liken the kingdom of heaven to in these parables?
c) What do you think his message is?
d) Have you had to give anything up for the sake of the kingdom? How difficult was it? Are you glad now?
5. Read Revelation 3:14-22
a) We just celebrated Palm Sunday and the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. What entry did Jesus want to make in this passage in Revelation?
b) How does Jesus describe the church in Laodicea?
c) What does a “lukewarm” Christian act like?
d) What does it mean that Jesus "stands at the door and knocks"? (Note that these words are often used in evangelism, but they were first spoken to a church of Christians).
e) What areas of your life does Jesus need to be granted access to?
6. How can you honor Jesus as King this week?
7. Respond now to King Jesus in prayer. What do you need to submit to Him? In what ways do you need to worship Him?
