When everyone else is looking back, Jesus turns their attention forward.

The unstoppable, “From Now On” movement in this scene is eternity. The hope Jesus offers is eternal and life changing.

We still get distracted with this today, don’t we?
• Jesus’ reply to us is - if you really want to lead, go where I have you, to the people I’ve placed around you, and be their servant.

Jesus sees Peter’s restoration, even before his failure.
• Jesus always sees a person’s potential.

Whatever you place your hope in is an anchor.
• If your hope is in Jesus, you are anchored to face any storm.
• If your hope is in anything else, it’s only a matter of time before your anchor gives way leaving you tossed around or sunk.

When you know eternity is coming, you live differently.

It was this constant hope that he had in Jesus that allowed him to boldly stand.

Hope in Jesus moves you into action.
• Hope-filled people pray boldly.
• Hope-filled people are moved to pray bold prayers.
• Hope-filled people are also moved to serve selflessly.
• Hope-filled people are moved to share Jesus relentlessly.
