Code of Conduct for U.S. Soldiers

"I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces whcih guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.

If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any acting which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful ordes of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

Whe questioned, shlould I become a prisoner of war: Iam bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. Iwill make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicted to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America."
The Apostles Creed:

"I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born from the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried, descended into hell, on the third day rose again from the dead, ascended to heaven,
sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, thence He will come to judge the living and the dead; I believe in the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the remission of sins, the resurrection of the flesh, and eternal life."
When in battle - remember who you are - what you believe - Who you represent.

Let us strengthen our faith today!
Return to Faith:

A. I Believe in God - One God:
* Father - creator, eternal, One who begets Christ
* Son - Jesus Christ, our Lord, born of a virgin, died, buried, risen, ascended, returning to judge, eternally interceding.
* Holy Spirit - God in and through the believer - to guide, convict, empower, give gifts as needed, etc.
B. I Believe in the Holy Bible - 66 books, 40 writers, One Author
* It has been proven by manuscripts, history, archeology, prophecy, science, linguists.
C. I Believe in the Church:
* This unique idea that was Christ's.
* The keys of which were given to Peter and to us on the basis of confession that Jesus is the Lord (Messiah).
* Protect the Church Jesus died for.
The Work of Strong Faith (from Hebrews 12)

A. "So that the limb that is impaired may not be dislocated, but rather be healed."
1. Impaired -
2. Dislocated -
3. Healed -
*connection between forgiveness (inner) and healing (outer).

B. "...peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord."

* peace-making is high on God's priority list.
* Important: There are some people - that the only peace you can make with them is in your heart. They won't accept you and it would only do more harm to approach them.
C. "See to it you don't come short of the grace of God...so that a root of bitterness does not take root and many be defiled."

* This 'grace' may be talking more about the grace given 'from' you than that given 'to' you.
D. "so there be no sexually immoral or godless person..."

This is the time we need to strengthen our faith.

Fellowship and attendance are vital!
* Interestingly, sexual immorality is mentioned in conjunction with godlessness.
In Battle - It's Back to Faith

* As a good soldier, you know what to do...what to say.
* Confess only what is true about ourselves according to God's plan.

By fortifying our faith, we shall overcome!

** My prayer is for the weak to be made strong, the broken to be healed. God has made a way for all of us through the cross. Repent, confess, and take a firm stand for Christ!
