No Other King - Image
People are not convinced to follow Jesus because of what he taught. They become convinced because of what they see. Jesus taught us to look beyond the castles and crowns, positions and titles - to not fear, but the follow. It was not his teachings that attracted people to him, but rather how he loved. The earthly kingdoms we still pursue - comfort, status, wealth, security, image – all will leave us wanting. Only in Jesus do realize we need no other King.
