Giving

At Cross Bridge, we are joyful and generous in our giving, because we see it as an act of worship, and a way for us to bring back to God's work a portion of what He has entrusted us to manage. The link below will direct you to our giving page.

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER
Do you enjoy long road trips? What is your favorite part?

What is the longest trip or journey you have been on in your life?

SERMON QUOTES
What was your favorite quote from the message on Sunday?

GOING DEEPER IN THE WORD TOGETHER
Read John 1:35-51 NLT
This is Jesus calling some of His first disciples.

Jesus has a unique way of inviting people on a journey with Him. In verse 39 He answers the question by inviting them to “come and see.” How would you have answered their question? In what ways was the invitation of Jesus more effective for these men?

What are some ways people in our culture today invite others to know Jesus? How effective do you think these methods are?

We see in verse 46 that Philip invited Nathanael to “come and see.” This teaches us that we should follow the example of Jesus. Is the invitation of Jesus to “come and see” still effective today?

In verse 43 Jesus calls Philip to “come, follow me.” This is a stronger call than to come and see. So why the difference? How does this apply to us?

Finally in verse 42 Jesus tells Simon “you will be” called Peter. What was Jesus doing in this moment for Simon?

Does Jesus still do this today? How? Does He use us to do this for others?

What does it mean to you that you have a different identity in Jesus?

APPLYING SCRIPTURE TO YOUR LIFE
So “come and see”, “follow me”, and “you will be” are 3 very distinct invitations. How do we know when to use each of these invitations?

Who do you need to extend one of these invitations to and which one?
