This is Paul teaching the early church what it looks like to be fully mature people in the body of Christ (aka the Church).
Paul says in verse 2 that we should ALWAYS be humble and gentle. How does our society view humbleness and gentleness? What are the advantages and disadvantages to always being humble and gentle?
Paul then teaches us that because there is 1 Lord, Jesus, that we should be united and offer grace for each others faults. Is this something you are good at or do you struggle with this? Is our society good at this?
Near the end, Paul teaches us that as mature Christians we will not be influenced with people trying to trick us and that we will speak the truth in love. Truth AND love. Which of those is harder for you?
