Giving

At Cross Bridge, we are joyful and generous in our giving, because we see it as an act of worship, and a way for us to bring back to God's work a portion of what He has entrusted us to manage. The link below will direct you to our giving page.

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER
What is your all time favorite team or band or group?

Why do you think community is so important for those who follow Jesus?

SERMON QUOTES
Sustaining change is harder than choosing change.

Community is the most effective way to sustain the change.

GOING DEEPER IN THE WORD TOGETHER
Read Hebrews 10:23-25 NLT
The author of Hebrews (possibly the apostle Paul) is writing to the new church that was dealing with heavy persecution because of their belief in Jesus.

Verse 23 calls us to “hold tightly without wavering to the hope (Jesus)....” What are some things they were facing in the early church that made them waver? What do we face that tends to make us waver?

How do we hold tightly to Jesus so we don’t waver?

Verse 23 also says “God can be trusted to keep His promise.”Do you believe this? Does anyone have an example of this happening?

Verse 24 then turns it into a challenge to help others by motivating them to “acts of love and good works.” How would the early church have motivated one another to those things? How can we motivate one another today?

Verse 25 calls us to not neglect meeting together. This has become more prevalent in our society in recent times. Why do you think this is? How do we encourage one another so this does not happen?

How does holding tightly to Jesus, and motivating and encouraging one another, all fit together in the type of community Jesus is calling is to?

APPLYING SCRIPTURE TO YOUR LIFE
