Series: "Foundations of Family"

"The Human Family" Although people the world over are different in every way - culture, language, look, style, food, etc., we are all part of the same family! May we never look down on anyone despite their place or plot in life. Our soul value is the same whether live on skid row or the penthouse.

The curse of Canaan...many people groups were known as Canaanites and were indeed the enemies of God's chosen people.

Some people inherit curses not of their own making.

Foundational blessings are as much about what you do not have to deal with as they are the good things one gets to enjoy.
You and I are building on a foundation others laid for us.

We are laying a foundations with our lives upon which the next generation will build. Build with care.
The Human Family:

"We Are Family" - (bust a move!) :)
The old disco song resonates still, not merely bc of the jam, but because we all want to belong!

We are all the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve...of Ham, Shem, and Japheth.

Be a postive influence in the human family!
The Spiritual Foundation:

In the South they have learned to correct broken foundations by coming up under and pouring 'bell' piers in the earth. This is what grace does! I comes up under our mess...often that those before us made...and pours a foundation of love that stops the brokenness, and shifting - providing a solid foundation for the future!
Blessed Human Boundaries:
The bounds (boundaries) of our habitation are not only physical land boundaries. They are much greater than that.

The Ten Commandments are Boundaries to Live and Be Blessed By.
A. Geographical Boundaries: Good fences make good neighbors.
B. Dietary Boundaries: Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
C. Relational Boundaries: Marriage / Sexual boundaries are set to glorify God.
D. Social/Civil Boundaries: Laws of civility in Leviticus and penal laws provided peaceful living.
E. Personal Boundaries: Holy Spirit often leads individuals to boundaries not required of others.
F. Life Boundaries: We are all mortal creatures with a time limit and an appointment with death.
One Human at A Time:

God is interested in the individual.
Adam - through one man sin came
Ismael - The God who sees me.
Elijah - alone and hiding
Woman at well - Jesus stopped for one
Zacceus - Jesus went to lunch with tax man.
Theif - on the cross Christ saved one solitary life.

He feels the same about YOU! You matter! You can change the world for the better.

Our care for individuals must grow!
* when people are not fed ... it changes their physical, social, behavioral, and psychological well-being.

The Family of God: We should represent what all of earth should look like. Everyone is equal at the foot of the cross. Everyone is welcome!
The Ripple Effect:

What we do as individuals has bearing, to some degree, on the whole world!

Be a little kinder, be honest, seek God, live for Jesus, shine a light!!

Indeed - We ARE Family!
Love you all!! - PT
