Loving Others

Loving Others

To launch 2025, we're going back to basics. Our mission here at Berean is "Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ." But questions we ought to ask about this include: "What does a growing relationship with Jesus Christ look like?" "How can I tell if I'm growing in my relationship with Jesus Christ?" As a church, we've identified, from Scripture, four core areas (components) of what a growing relationship with Jesus looks like. Our vision is a gathered and scattered group of people who are all growing in their relationship with Jesus - impacted Lincoln County and as far beyond as the Lord will allow. Join us as we remind ourselves what it looks like to be growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ!

Beyond Sunday

Growing with Jesus isn’t just for Sundays. Make it an everyday, everywhere, with everyone mission by going “beyond Sunday”!

Engage in these resources on your own and with your Grow Group*, family, or a friend:

Grow
• The call to love is everywhere in the Bible. Learn more through this page: npberean.org/beyond5
• Copy Mark 12:30-31 on a card. Read it every morning as a prayer and every evening to evaluate your day.

Share
• This week, how can you tangibly show love to a “neighbor” who likely won’t love you back.
• Who in your life doesn’t yet know Jesus? Look for opportunities to both love them in action and share Jesus with them in words.

Connect
• In what situations is it hardest to love others? Why do you think that is?
• Consider one tangible step we can take to grow in genuinely loving others. Then do it together.
• Explore 1 John 3:11-18 together to prepare for next week’s sermon.

* Connecting in community with other believers is crucial for spiritual growth. Explore group options at npberean.org/gg

Next Week's Sermon

The beginning of a growing relationship with Jesus Christ is Treasuring God, and as we treasure God we find that we are being transformed to look like him in our character! We will love every other person we encounter (as we love ourselves) - all others. To conclude our series, we'll explore how there is a unique call even within Loving Others to especially Pursue Unity with other believers in Jesus Christ. Are we pursuing that unity?
