This is how you get stronger…get up and attend the ThornCreek Men's Retreat. The theme this year is, "Suckerpunch". We will be looking at how Jesus prepared his men for the spiritual suckerpunches they would face in life. Pastor Brian Troxell will be bringing three dynamic messages about how we need the Holy Spirit to battle life. This is a time for you to cry out to God. We all need God's grace. We all have more in common with each other than we think. So, take time off work, rearrange your calendar, do what you have to do! Don't miss this men's retreat! Youth Retreat - Cold Shoulder | Feb 20-22 | TC Youth is hosting a winter retreat! This event will be a time to get away from the chaos of life and connect with God. Our theme is 'Cold Shoulder'. Teenagers often struggle with the idea that if they can't feel, see, or hear God, He may not be real or if He is real, he doesn't really care. It's easy to believe that maybe God is giving us the 'cold shoulder'. Some of us can feel, see, and hear God in everything we do, but when we're young, it's not always as straightforward as we'd hope. This retreat is meant to answer the question, "Where is God when I can't feel, see, or hear him?"

Hawaii Revival | June 24-29 (Tue-Sun) | Last year, ThornCreek Church did something that was incredibly special. We partnered with Pukalani Community Church in Maui at the one-year anniversary of the Maui Fires to lead a revival service. What's a revival? A revival is consecutive days of church services for the purpose of spiritual renewal. God blessed it. There were four consecutive days of church services under an outdoor tent. Pastor Ruben preached every day, and our ThornCreek Worship team led the worship. 43 people came to know Jesus Christ, and over 20 committed to baptism. We additionally fed the hungry, participated in community outreach projects, and led a Vacation Bible School. It was amazing. They told us, "they never experienced a revival like this." Well…they asked us to come back…This time, churches from all the islands are invited to attend this revival. It will be outdoors in a larger area, under a tent. It's a great opportunity to love on these locals who are trying to get back on their feet after the Maui Fires. Everyone at ThornCreek is welcome to participate. Everyone is invited. Mark your calendar now! Start saving. Buy your ticket early! Everyone is responsible for their own airfare, food, accommodations, and transportation. However, during the days of revival, Puka Naz Church will likely provide dinner.
Here are the dates:
- ThornCreek Staff and Worship Team will be flying out on June 23, 2025, and returning on July 3, 2025.
- Food Distribution and Block Party will be June 24-25, 2025. (Tues-Wed)
- The Revival will be: June 26-29, 2025. (Thurs - Sun)
The revival will take place at:
Pukalani Community Church of the Nazarene
211 Hiwalani Loop, Makawao, HI 96768
(This is located on Maui).
Need help with the cost of accommodations? Puka Naz Church is willing to let people camp out on their property. A tent, restrooms, and shower, would be provided. However, you'll need to purchase an air mattress from Costco in Maui. You may want to donate it to Puka Naz at the end of your stay. You are responsible to bring your own sleeping bag. It's beautiful weather to camp. It's an affordable option. :)

EASTER WEEKEND BAPTISMS
April 19-20, 2025
April 19-20, 2025
If you know you shouldn't have said it, why did you say it?
It's possible to shut your mouth but nothing has changed on the inside.
You will never be able to change what you say, if you don't let God change your heart.
Careless words make it more difficult for people to authentically love you.
What you say to others affects your relationship with God.
Five steps to mop up your words:
1) Before you contact them, pray.
2) Initiate the conversation…ASAP.
3) Take responsibility.
“The best of us must sometimes eat our words.”
- J.K. Rowling
- J.K. Rowling
4) Ask for forgiveness.
"Be careful what you say. You can say something hurtful in ten seconds, but ten years later, the wounds are still there."
- Joel Osteen

5) Talk about the future.
