The Power of Words
- Words matter because...
1. They Are Life...or They Are Death. Proverbs 18:21: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."
Question: How have you “eaten the fruit” of your words? Think of at least one positive example. The negative examples usually come as a flood.
2. They Reveal The True State of Our Heart. Luke 6:45: "The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil; for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."
Question: What are the words that let you know how your heart is doing?
3. What We Speak Creates Our Reality. Proverbs 15:4: "A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit."
Question: What have you spoken, in faith, that has come true? What are you afraid to say because you will be held accountable for it or you might look foolish?

God invites us to worship Him in all areas of our lives, including the way we spend our money.
