Advent is a season observed in many Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas. During Advent, it is common for Christians to read or reflect on specific Bible verses or passages that relate to the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love, which are often symbolized by the Advent candles (one lit each Sunday of Advent).
Big Idea: Being adventurous begins my journey of discovery about God.
1. Some legs of the journey I will experience and take alone.
MAJOR KEY: Sometimes we make the mistake of bringing others along BEFORE we’ve had enough personal time with God ourselves to make sure we are up for God’s plan.
2. The most exciting part of the journey is not only who I will become, but what I will learn about God.

3. Always be willing to connect with someone beyond you, even if you are above them.
MAJOR KEY: An adventure with God takes us to unpredictable experiences and into fellowship with other adventurous people.
MAJOR KEY: God gives us other examples of people He is working miraculously through as proof of what He can do and a point of reference for us to draw faith from.
