ADVENT OF HOPE • The word “advent” means the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event. During the Christmas season, the arrival we are celebrating is that of Jesus coming into our world! We would love for you and your family to gather with us during this special season of Advent.

ROAD TO BETHLEHEM HELP NEEDED: SETUP ON 12/7 • Please join us at 9am on Saturday, December 7th, for our Road to Bethlehem setup.

Our goal is to complete as much setup as possible for the Live Nativity, including construction of sets and structures. At 12pm, we will dine together in the CCE Lobby before finishing up our construction for the day.

Note: If a second day is needed, we will meet again at 9am on Saturday, December 14th, to complete our Road to Bethlehem setup.

FIREWOOD NEEDED FOR ROAD TO BETHLEHEM • Calvary Chapel Eastside's Road to Bethlehem production team is seeking ~1.5 cords of dry, seasoned wood for fires that provide warmth for our cast/crew and light the way for all our visitors.

The 2024 Road to Bethlehem is December 16-20.

CALLING ALL CAROLERS • We are seeking festive hearts and voices for our annual Christmas Caroling event and our Road to Bethlehem production.

If you are available on Tuesday, December 10th and/or any evenings during the Week of December 16th, and would like to join our caroling choir, please sign up with Shirley Lopez (shirley@cceastside.com) at the Lobby Welcome Desk on Sunday.

We will do a couple of practices to tune up before the events. Bring your family and friends for this warm and festive time of sharing Christ with our communities!

SALVATION ARMY FOOD BANK SERVICE • If you are looking for a service opportunity, The Salvation Army Food Bank in Renton needs volunteers to help with stocking and distribution of food.

CCSD: GROWING STRONG MIDWEEK • Our Calvary Chapel School of Discipleship desires to glorify God as we nurture and develop a Spirit-led walk with Christ.

We welcome you to participate with us each Wednesday as we dig into God’s Word and will for our lives.

Pick up a Fall Brochure at the Lobby Information Desk or a seat pocket in the sanctuary. Learn more about Awana Clubs, Senior High and Junior High Classes, Young Adult Grace Group, Women’s Bible Study, Men Discipling Men, and English as a Second Language (ESL).

Most classes meet 7-8:30pm. The Young Adult Grace Group meets twice a month, on Sunday. These ministries are open to everyone! From the youngest to the oldest, there is love and encouragement for all.

AWANA • Calvary Chapel Eastside’s AWANA program is a great way for young people to draw near to Jesus as they hide God’s Word in their hearts.

Knowing how God wants us to live out our faith is vitally important to our spiritual health and the future of our children.

Registration is open!

Join us Wednesday evenings, 7-8:30pm. All children 3 years through 6th grade will grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus through the Bible in this multi-leveled club.

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY CLASS • The Junior High group meets every Sunday, at 10am in Room 203. Brian Parks is teaching new materials from the Answers In Genesis Middle School program and sharing in many other interactive games and activities. Don’t miss the fellowship and fun!

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY • Please join us as we journey together through the book of Proverbs. Bring your Bibles, ladies. We will study in various translations and enjoy verse mapping together.

In addition to our study, we will enjoy a time of fellowship and prayer, as well as a variety of hikes, picnics, and other activities.

YOUNG ADULT GRACE GROUP • Calvary Chapel Eastside is offering a mental health care group for young adults who are college-age, twenties, and thirties. This group is for young men and women seeking support within a Christ-centered context.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday afternoons, 12:30-2pm, in the Library.

Our next gathering is Sunday, December 1st.

Participants will learn tools for mental and emotional resiliency within a safe and life-giving community. Space is limited.

WOMEN'S CHRISTMAS FÊTE • Ladies, please join us for our Women’s Christmas Fête on Saturday, December 7th, 10am to 12pm.

Start the season with Taproot Theatre’s Gift of the Magi and a fanciful brunch as we gather at lovely tables with nativity display centerpieces from around the world.

Cost is $20 or $10 for students. After 12/1, the cost is $25 for all participants.

ECHO GLEN MINISTRY • Please consider joining Pastor Robert on the 2nd Sunday of the month for a 3pm Chapel Service at the Echo Glen Youth Detention Facility in Snoqualmie. This is an opportunity for you to meet and pray for these incarcerated youth during a brief (~40 minute) service.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING • Christmas time is here again, and that means spreading some Christmas cheer and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with our community!

At 6pm on Tuesday, December 10th, we will meet at Calvary Chapel Eastside for a quick practice of our Christmas carols and a cup of chili or soup before heading out in vans.

CONNECT CHRISTMAS • The Young Adults Connect Group will be gathering on Saturday, December 14th, at 4:30pm, for our Christmas Party at the home of John & Hamsika Bandi.

CHRISTMAS SHOP SWAP • Come to our annual Christmas Shop Swap for kids on Sunday, December 15th, right after service! This is an opportunity for children to shop for family and friends and have their gifts wrapped.

ROAD TO BETHLEHEM • Calvary Chapel Eastside presents our 10th annual live nativity!

Travel the Road to Bethlehem from the comfort of your car! On your journey, you'll meet centurions, shepherds, and angels as you hear the story of Christmas!

We invite you to drive through this one-of-a-kind nativity with live actors and animals.

This event is FREE and runs December 16-20, 7-8:30pm. Invite your family and friends!

MISSIONS SPOTLIGHT | LEIPZIG, GERMANY • This month's featured missionary is The Ibbotson Family. Since 1998, Kurt, Tiffany, Simon, Andrew, Lillia, and James have been a full time missionary family at Calvary Chapel Leipzig, where Kurt serves as Senior Pastor. In addition to his Pastoral responsibilities, Kurt teaches at the school of discipleship, serves as an elder, and provides counseling, visitation, outreach, Bible study, and prayer. Outside of church activities, Kurt spends one day a week helping at a refugee camp, and he is very involved with his children. Tiffany’s main ministry is being a wife and mother. She leads the Women’s Ministry, serves in the children’s ministry, and reaches out to needy and broken communities! See below to learn more about the Ibbotsons and their work in Germany!
