Devil is always out to destroy relationships.

(2 Timothy 2:16 NLT) Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.

(2 Timothy 2:23-25 NLT) Again I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth.
• You will never make everyone happy.

(Galatians 1:10 NLT) Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant.
• You don't have to play their game.

Recognize the bait.

Just because you have the right to say it, doesn't mean its the right thing to say.

(Proverbs 18:2 NLT) Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.

(Proverbs 17:28 NLT) Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.
• You don't have to retaliate.

(1 Peter 3:9 NLT) Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.

(1 Thessalonians 5:15 NLT) See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
Dealing with people is more about God dealing with me than them.

(Luke 6:28 NLT) Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
• Release them.

(Luke 23:34 NLT) Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
God always responds to us from two perspectives...

• Eternal perspective

• Redemptive perspective
(Ezekiel 18:31-32 NLT) Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don't want you to die, says the Sovereign LORD. Turn back and live!
• Jesus came for all of us. -- Even those people.

(1 Timothy 2:4 MSG) (God) ... wants not only us but everyone saved, you know, everyone to get to know the truth we’ve learned: that there’s one God and only one, and one Priest-Mediator between God and us—Jesus, who offered himself in exchange for everyone held captive by sin, to set them all free. ...
