Our November Missions Offering will be going to our missionaries Vlad Kozoubovskii and George Mohammed. Vlad and his family are living here in the U.S. while ministering to Ukraine, and George pastors in Trinidad and Tobago and is part of the Fundamental Baptist Mission of Trinidad and Tobago. Vlad and George will be with us next week for Missions Sunday. Their most recent prayer letters are in the bulletin so you can be up-to-date on their ministry. Please use a Missions Offering envelope for your gift.

Global CrossTalk, the latest news from our missionaries, is now at the Information Center. The November Prayer Calendar is also available to help you pray for our church staff, ministries, and missionaries.

A limited number of Thanksgiving cards are available for purchase in the church library. Christmas cards will be coming soon!

2025 God's Creation Calendars Available

2025 God's Creation Calendars are available for purchase in the library for only $10. They make great Christmas gifts! Proceeds benefit the SCA Junior Class; please make checks payable to SCA.

Walk for Life - November 16

Walk for Life will be on Saturday, November 16, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Abel Pregnancy Resource Center, 201 Sylvia Lane, Bluefield, WV. Surviving the Holidays - November 20

Surviving the Holidays for DivorceCare & GriefShare are two helpful, encouraging seminars for people facing the holidays after a separation or divorce, or the death of a loved one. Those who attend either event will receive a Survival Guide filled with practical tips, encouraging words, journaling ideas, and exercises for daily help through the holiday season. There is no cost. DivorceCare will meet in Room #129 and GriefShare in Room #136 on Wednesday, November 20, at 6:30 p.m. Please share this news with family, neighbors, and friends.

Adult Mission Trip

There will be an adult mission trip to Slovenia from April 22 - May 1, 2025. If you have any questions, please see Pastor James Walsh or Leianne Harvey. This mission trip will consist of supporting and encouraging missionary families who will be attending the EuroConnect Conference led by our missionaries Andrew & Alecia Teeuwen.

Christmas Choir Practice

Christmas Choir practice for the annual Christmas cantata is on Wednesdays from 8:15 - 9:00 p.m. in the Choir Room (#138). We would love to have you join the choir if you have a heart to worship the Lord and proclaim the gospel through music.

Hurricane Relief

If you would like to help with relief efforts following Hurricane Helene, Heaven Sent Ministries is accepting donations of funds and supplies for blessing buckets to be taken to affected areas. Please reach out to josh@hsminc.org or contact the HSM office at 304-425-7120.

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord! We were able to pack 1,000 shoeboxes at our Operation Christmas Child packing party and meet our 1,000-box goal. Thank you, church, for giving items for the shoeboxes as well as for your financial investment. You have currently given $9,900.43 of the $10,000 we need to ship the boxes. Additional gifts can still be given by using a Special Offering envelope and marking it “OCC.” Anything over $10,000 will go to help pay for supplies that were purchased. Please continue to pray that the Lord will use these boxes to reach children, their families, and communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are empty OCC shoeboxes available in the lobby for you to take home and pack. Please return these by Sunday, November 17.

Ministry Focus: GriefShare

GriefShare is a support group to find help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. It is led by caring people who understand what you are feeling and offer comfort during this difficult time. Join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Room #136.

D.M.A. Fellowship will meet on Thursday, November 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the church auditorium. Pat Smith, the Mercer County Historian, will present the program, “The Fight for the Mercer County Courthouse,” and the Summit Christian Academy High School Choir will lead us in a time of Thanksgiving worship. Lunch will be provided and served by the students of SCA in the Fellowship Hall. (Note: There is no need to bring a covered dish for this meeting.) All senior adults age 55+ are welcome to join this fellowship meeting!
