"And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors"

The word debt.

What does it mean to ask God to forgive our debt?

ITIS FINSIHED! HE PAID OUR DEBTS!!

JESUS PAID IT ALL, ALL TO HIM I OWE!!!

Usually our first prayer to God is to receive forgiveness by faith in the finished work of the cross.

You can be saved today!!!!!

Should we continue to ask God to forgive our sins?

If our sins have been forgiven should we constantly pray to ask God for forgiveness?
I do not believe God wants you to have a sin conscience every day hoping that you don't forget to ask for forgiveness so you don't go to hellI believe God wants a relationship with us and to learn rebuild our intimacy with him.

" As we forgive our debtors"
Someone hurts or offends you and you feel like they "owe" you something.

This is the only part of the lord's prayer that Jesus follows up with more remarks, I believe its because it's going to be the hardest part of our prayer life. It can be extremely difficult.

This is how serious God takes forgiveness.
In these few chapters Jesus is talking about what the kingdom of God is like. He's saying in the kingdom of God forgiveness is not an option it's a command.

You cannot withhold forgiveness simply because Christ did not without it from you!!

The Power to forgive is rooted in the forgiveness we have received.

How many times should we forgive?

EVERYTIME!

lets clear our hearts from bitterness that has taken root due to the lack of forgiveness and set ourselves free today from the torment!!
