The word “Bible” means “Book.”
The Bible was written over a period of 1600 years in over a dozen countries on three continents by 40 people in three different languages.
There is only one Author of the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Old Testament tells the story about a People.
The New Testament tells the story about a Person.
The Old Testament centers around Abraham and Moses.
The New Testament centers around Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
The Old Testament gathers around Mount Sinai.
The New Testament gathers around the Cross.
The Old Testament shows the wrath of God against sin.
The New Testament shows the grace of God against sinners.
The Old Testament writes the law on tablets.
The New Testament writes the law on our hearts.

No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
Malachi 4:1-6 NLT
The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says, “The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed—roots, branches, and all. But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant—all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel. Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the LORD arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”
