What is Spiritual Anorexia?
Spiritual anorexia is an aversion to reading and digesting scripture.


Matthew 4:4
“Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”


Deuteronomy 32:46–47:
Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you—they are your life.


The Enemy has THREE primary strategies in the War on the Believers:

Strategy #1: To effectively alienate and sever the relationship between husband and wife.

Strategy #2: To effectively alienate and sever the relationship between father and children.

Strategy #3: To sever and alienate a people from the spiritual disciplines that will keep them fit and effective for spiritual battle.


WHY IS READING THE BIBLE DAILY IMPORTANT?

1. It reminds me that there is a God who is ruling the affairs of my life.

2. I need to be reminded of what is true.

3. The Bible reinforces my convictions.


WHAT IS SPIRITUAL BULIMIA?
Spiritual bulimiais an aversion to applying the Scriptures to my life.


James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the Lord and to practice it


Psalm 1:1-3 NIV
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. [3] He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
