There’s Power In The Blood; The Hedge of Protection

Weapons the enemy uses; have to be fought with the Blood, The Covenant, Authority given to us, scriptures, controlling our thoughts, staying out of sin & in fellowship with Him

Applying the BLOOD to your thoughts & conscience, to rid yourself of whole life time of hurt, bitterness, hurt, depression [which is wrath stuffed & never dealt with],
& BORROWED OFFENSES

Even our thought life must be cleansed by the blood to get into His presence;
• you may feel His presence in Worship, but that’s not being cleansed by the blood.
• When 2 or more are gathered, He is there in your presence
• His presence can come upon you but not be on the inside of you
• You must ask Him to do the work of cleansing

Heb 10:22 Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
The New Covenant of His Blood

Hebrews 12:22-24 (MSG) No, that's not your experience at all. You've come to Mount Zion, the city where the living God resides. The invisible Jerusalem is populated by throngs of festive angels and Christian citizens. It is the city where God is Judge, with judgments that make us just. You've come to Jesus, who presents us with a new covenant, a fresh charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder of Jesus, unlike Abel's—a homicide that cried out for vengeance—became a proclamation of grace. [proclamation; a formal public statement]

The New Covenant set up by His blood
His Blood gave us GRACE ; sanctification by God, being made holy, releasing unmerited favor

The Hedge; Job is the perfect example; KJV; blameless, upright, shunned evil
Job 1:1 (MSG) Job was a man who lived in Uz. He was honest inside and out, a man of his word, who was totally devoted to God and hated evil with a passion.

• Because of his lifestyle; God built a hedge of protection around him
• He became the Verse 3; Greatest of all in the East
• Prosperous; 1,000 shee, camel, goats, & many possessions, land

Job was worried about the lifestyle of his children; [7 sons, 3 daughters who regularly held feast in their homes, drinking, partying]

Job 1:5 (MSG) When the parties were over, Job would get up early in the morning and sacrifice a burnt offering for each of his children, thinking, "Maybe one of them sinned by defying God inwardly." Job made a habit of this sacrificial atonement, just in case they'd sinned.

Atonement; make amends for sins or wrongdoings, or injury, to reconcile them to God.
2
Job 1:6-10 (MSG) One day when the angels came to report to GOD, Satan, who was the Designated Accuser, came along with them. GOD singled out Satan and said, "What have you been up to?" Satan answered GOD, "Going here and there, checking things out on earth." GOD said to Satan, "Have you noticed my friend Job? There's no one quite like him—honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil." Satan retorted, "So do you think Job does all that out of the sheer goodness of his heart? Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does—he can't lose!

Job 1:9-11 (KJV) Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

• Job did what God said & He did it regularly

• He applied the blood to their shortcomings, failures & sins through the sacrifice of the blood

Satan ask that God put forth His hand and touch Job's possessions, it was really a
suggestion that God withdraw His hand of protection so Satan could destroy Job's property withhold His protection & turn the devil lose on him to carry out his desires upon him

There is no magic formula, or phrase that activates the blood, it comes by faith in Him

1. Key is an obedient lifestyle, 2. a relationship 3. Prayer 4. Walk in the light. Not in our own desires or ways

John 15:7 (KJV) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 15:7 (MSG) But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon.

Abide; Continue , dwell, to stay in place, to have a relation or expectancy, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain in, stand with Him, tarry in fellowship.

1 John 1:6-7 (KJV) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [purges us from sin]

When Adam & Eve sinned they
2. lost their covering;
3. their close communion with God, &daily fellowship, afraid of His voice
4. moved out of His presence, His garden spot, lost relationship
5. Saw their nakedness had no covering, hid & full of shame, lost their peace & protection
6. Lost their authority attempted to cover themselves, protect their self 3
[hid for 7 years in a cave]

Genesis 3:7-8 (KJV) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. [paranoid]

1. Noah made blood covenant; Genesis 8:20 (KJV) Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

Genesis 8:21 (MSG) GOD smelled the sweet fragrance and thought to himself, "I'll never again curse the ground because of people. I know they have this bent toward evil from an early age, but I'll never again kill off everything living as I've just done.

Because of the blood sacrifice;
• Removed the curse off the earth
• Stopped the judgement
• Decided not to kill off everything
The Covenant Sign
2. Abraham;
Genesis 17:8-11 (KJV) And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

• Abraham believed it so much he was willing to sacrifice his own son as an act of obedience, knowing God could raise him up [faith the covenant of trust]

3. Moses; after receiving the 10 commandments; gathered the people together to offer a blood of a young bull as a sacrifice
• A bullock is symbolic of Jesus Christ
• Was the largest of sacrifices
• Lev. 1:10 Burnt offering that made the people untainted by their sins

Exodus 24:4-11 (MSG) Moses wrote it all down, everything GOD had said. He got up early the next morning and built an Altar at the foot of the mountain using twelve pillar-stones for the twelve tribes of Israel. Then he directed young Israelite men to offer Whole-Burnt-Offerings and sacrifice Peace-Offerings of bulls. Moses took half the blood and put it in bowls; the other half he threw against the Altar.
Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it as the people listened. They said, "Everything GOD said, we'll do.

Yes, we'll obey." Moses took the rest of the blood and threw it out over the people, saying, 4
"This is the blood of the covenant which GOD has made with you out of all these words I have spoken."

Then The Glory & God Himself Appeared to Moses, Aaron, Abihu [Aaron’s son name meaning; worshiper of Him], Nabihu [Aaron’s son name meaning; willingly volunteer as a soldier] 70 elders ; [Elders; senators, older men; officials in rank and station, as well as for their integrity and weighty character in their respective tribes. The Nobel’s, those who have separated themselves]

Exodus 24:9-11 (KJV) Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

Respect for the blood & the Covenant caused them to see God & eat with Him

• Moses 5th accent to the mountain to meet with God; He set aside time with God

Exodus 24:2 (KJV) And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
