Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.
1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?
2. Read 1 John 2:19-25. Have you known people who have dropped out of following Jesus? There is a lot of talk today about deconstructing faith. What is God (through John) explaining and challenging us to know and do in this passage?
3. One of the major advances in a maturing faith is the realization that God makes His home in us and that we are God's dwelling place. This is a wonderful and amazing truth that has massive implications for us. What are some of the blessings that this reality brings to the believer?
4. Read Galatians 2:20. Here, Paul did not say, “I live in a Christ-like way,” or, “I glorify Christ through my behavior.” No, he said, “Christ…lives in me,” clearly showing us that Christ lives in His believers. Because He lives in us, the Christian life is not a matter of trying to behave like Christ, but of allowing Him to live in and through us. How have you experienced Christ’s life in you this week?
5. Read James 1:2-4. Being “pruned” is often explained as suffering or being persecuted, and God certainly uses those to produce more fruit in us. What are some other types of pruning we experience as God’s children? What is the end result that God’s pruning has in our lives?

Giving Online
Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10)
We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
