Repent or Not? (9:20-21)
Applying God’s Word through 1:10 Journey groups, family devotions, or personal meditation:
Opener
1. In what ways can silence be good or helpful?
Recap
2. Read Revelation 8-9. What stood out to you from this week’s passage?
3. What do you think is the significance of the thirty minutes of silence in heaven when the seventh seal was opened?
4. How does the Old Testament depict the use of trumpets? How is this of help to us as we read chapters 8 and 9?
5. How do verses 3-5 give you confidence in your prayers to God?
Digging Deeper – Read Luke 13:1-5.
6. How does our society often justify or explain natural disasters and unspeakable tragedies?
7. How does Jesus’ call to repentance surprise, challenge or encourage you when you look at suffering?
8. How do we reconcile this passage with the reality of spiritual warfare we see in Revelation 8-9?
Application
9. How is the Lord calling you to respond to this passage in Revelation?
10. How did God speak to you through your personal Bible reading this week?
