Ever felt like you were stuck in a cycle? Up one minute, down the next? Victorious today, facing a new challenge tomorrow?

A while back, I read a Bible Devotion that started with a simple yet profound statement: "The Christian life is battle and blessing, battle and blessing…". The author repeated this about 6 times. It got a little annoying to be honest.

Now, at the time, I remember thinking, "Is this guy stuck on repeat? Won't these battles ever end?" But that's exactly the point, isn't it? When we're in the thick of a battle, it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. And when blessings rain down, we sometimes naively assume they'll last forever.

The truth is, life isn't a straight line. It's more like a rollercoaster, with its ups and downs, twists and turns. Rick Warren has suggested that the Christian Life it's like running on two tracks: blessings on one, battles on the other, both present throughout our journey.

Ever felt like you wee stuck in a cycle?
This series, "Battles and Blessings," delves into this very reality. We'll explore how to navigate the challenges, embrace the victories, and ultimately, grow stronger in our faith through it all. So buckle up, because over the next three weeks, we'll be equipping ourselves to face the battles and celebrate the blessings—together.
Most bible scholars believe that Isaiah was written at a time when Israel was in captivity. That is, they were carried away to be slaves in the land of Assyria.

Hopefully, we will never face this kind of battle, but the facts these verses gives us about how God deals with His children ring true for us today.

If we want to be able to see the blessings when we are in a battle- we need to listen to God!!!

These verses remind us to listen to God as:
A) Our Creator
B) Our Redeemer
C) Our Father
When (not if) you have trials know this:
· God will be with you
· Ultimately, you will be victorious
· You don’t have to be afraid
· We can walk (not run) through the flames!

What is true of Israel, however, is equally true of the Church. Against it, too, the flames have raged and the waters have boiled but, according to His promise, the Lord Jesus has always been with her.” (Bultema)

We can walk (not run) through the flames!
