Service of Worship

We begin our prayers with praise because Jesus instructed that prayer begins with who God is, where He is, and with an active longing that our kingdoms become more like His.

God Summons Us

Call to Worship

Leader: May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah

People: that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.

All: Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!

Adapted from Psalm 67
Songs of Praise
Praise

I’ll praise in the valley, praise on the mountain
I’ll praise when I’m sure, praise when I’m doubting
I’ll praise when outnumbered, praise when surrounded
'Cause praise is the water my enemies drown in

As long as I’m breathing, I’ve got a reason to

Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul

I’ll praise when I feel it and I’ll praise when I don’t
I’ll praise 'cause I know You’re still in control
'Cause my praise is a weapon, it’s more than a sound
My praise is the shout that brings Jericho down
As long as I’m breathing, I’ve got a reason to

Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
I won’t be quiet, my God is alive
How could I keep it in - side
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul

I’ll praise 'cause You’re sov'reign, praise 'cause You reign
Praise 'cause You rose and de - feated the grave
I’ll praise 'cause You’re faithful, praise 'cause You’re true
Praise 'cause there’s nobody greater than You

I’ll praise 'cause You’re sov'reign, praise 'cause You reign
Praise 'cause You rose and de - feated the grave
I’ll praise 'cause You’re faithful, praise 'cause You’re true
Praise 'cause there’s nobody greater than You

Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul
I won’t be quiet, my God is alive

How could I keep it in - side
I won’t be quiet, my God is alive
How could I keep it in - side
I won’t be quiet, my God is alive
How could I keep it in - side
Praise the Lord, oh, my soul

Rest On Us

As the Spirit was moving over the water
Spirit come move over us
Come rest on us come rest on us

Come down Spirit when You move
You make my heart pound when You fill the room
You're here and I know You are moving
I'm here and I know You will fill me

As the Spirit was moving over the water
Spirit come move over us
Come rest on us come rest on us

Fire and wind come and do it again
Open up the gates let Heaven on in
Come rest on us come rest on us

Come down Spirit when You move
You make my heart pound when You fill the room
You're here and I know You are moving

I'm here and I know You will fill me
Holy Spirit
Come rest on us
You're all we want
You're all we want

Come down Spirit when You move
You make my heart pound when You fill the room
You're here and I know You are moving
I'm here and I know You will fill me

Silent Personal Confession
The proof of God’s amazing love is this:
“While we were sinners, Christ died for us. Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Trusting in God’s faithfulness and compassion, let us confess our sin before God and one another.
—based on Romans 5:8; Hebrews 4:16

Unison Confession
Merciful God, we confess that we have often failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love. We have not loved our neighbors, and have refused to hear the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray, and free us into joyful obedience; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Declaration of Forgiveness
The grace, mercy, forgiveness and peace of Christ, through the Holy Spirit, has preceded us in this moment. We are a forgiven and strengthened people because of the Father Heart of God, the work of Jesus Christ, and the indwelling, unfailing love of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Passing of the Peace
The peace of the Lord be with you.
And also with you.

Prayer and Dismissal of Children to Children’s Worship
Thy Mercy

Thy mercy, my God is the theme of my song
The joy of my heart and the boast of my tongue
Thy free grace alone from the first to the last
Hath won my affections and bound my soul fast

Without Thy sweet mercy I could not live here
Sin would reduce me to utter despair
But through Thy free goodness my spirits revive
And He that first made me still keeps me alive

Thy mercy is more than a match for my heart
Which wonders to feel its own hardness depart
Dissolved by Thy goodness, I fall to the ground
And weep for the praise of the mercy I found

Great Father of mercies, Thy goodness I own
And the covenant love of Thy crucified Son
All praise to the Spirit, whose whisper divine
Seals mercy and pardon and righteousness mine
All praise to the Spirit whose whisper divine
Seals mercy and pardon and righteousness mine

Ending
Hallelujah

One Thing Remains

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails
It never gives up
Never runs out on me
Your love

On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails
It never gives up
Never runs out on me

In death in life I'm confident and
Cover'd by the power of Your great love
My debt is paid there's nothing that
Can separate my heart from Your great love

Your love never fails
It never gives up
Never runs out on me
Your love

Communion

Leader: What do we believe about God, the Good Father?
All: We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

Leader: And what do we believe about the Son, Jesus Christ?
All: We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end.

Leader: And what do we believe about God, the Holy Spirit?
All: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.

Redemption Rain

Won't you come up here won't you come up high
Won't you sing His praise won't you let it rise
Up from the ashes and all your pain
Won't you come and dance in redemption's rain
Come up here

Redemption rain is falling down down down
Redemption love is pouring out out out
Redemption's song is singing love love love
He's singing love, love, love He's singing love, love, love

Won't you come up here come up now
Won't you leave your worries below the clouds
And let His beauty fill your lungs
The heavenly chorus has begun
Come up here

Redemption rain is falling down down down
Redemption love is pouring out out out
Redemption's song is singing love love love
He's singing love, love, love He's singing love, love, love

Goodness Of God
CCLI Song # 7117726 by Ed Cash and Jenn Johnson

I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a father
I've known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me

Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
With my life laid down
I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me

Unison Prayer

Gracious God, you have made us one with all your people in heaven and on earth. You have fed us with the bread of life, and renewed us for your service. Help us who have shared Christ’s body and received his cup, to be his faithful disciples, so that our daily living may be part of the life of your kingdom, and our love be your love, reaching out into the life of the world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Closing Song

Standing On The Promises
Standing on the promises of Christ my King
Through eternal ages let His praises ring
Glory in the highest I will shout and sing
Standing on the promises of God

Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior
Standing standing
I'm standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises that cannot fail
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail
By the living Word of God I shall prevail
Standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect present cleansing in the blood for me
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free
Standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's Sword
Standing on the promises of God
Standing on the promises I cannot fall
List'ning ev’ry moment to the Spirit's call
Resting in my Savior as my All in All
Standing on the promises of God
God Sends Us

Offering

The Apostle Paul assumes that local gatherings of Christ followers support the work of the Gospel. He describes giving monetarily in almost every letter he writes in the New Testament. Christ followers give what they can for the work of the local church and for mission churches. Similarly here, we hope you are planning and then giving joyfully because you believe in the mission and vision of this local gathering. There is a box by near the entrance to receive your offering.

Children’s Worship
In an effort to teach our children more about worship we will be taking a break from Sunday School this summer and switching to Children's worship. Children going into Pre-K4 through sixth grade will join us outside for the first part of the worship service and then right before the sermon we will move inside to Celebration Hall for Children's worship. We will sing worship songs with motions, pray together, read scripture together, and listen to a short children's sermon from one of our church's amazing leaders or teachers. The nursery in Room 7 will be open for the entire service for children 3 and under.

Hearing Assist Receivers Available
Hearing assist receivers can be picked up from the sound crew before the service.

Prayer Opportunity
At the conclusion of the service, our prayer team is available to pray for you.

Live Streaming
We are live-streaming this service on the internet today for the benefit of our missionaries, home-bound, and those who are ill.
