“An Unexpected Response”

“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, ADDING deeper darkness to a night already DEVOID of stars. Darkness CANNOT drive out darkness; only LIGHT can do that. Hate CANNOT drive out hate; ONLY LOVE can do that.”

Dr. King’s response was Love, Kindness, and Non-Violence.

“You have a decision to make about how you’re going to respond to what’s going on in America. You can choose to respond in the Flesh or in the Spirit.”

Our response to what’s happening in our culture must be LOVE and KINDNESS.

Jesus changed the Roman Empire and the world without ever firing a
bullet or getting revenge on his killers!

HOW David responded to Mephibosheth did something in Mephibosheth’s heart and life.

People deserve to be treated with dignity no matter their views because Jesus loved them and died for them, just like He did for us.

Our job as Christians is to draw people to Jesus not away from Him.

The reality is those groups aren’t ACCEPTING them they’re USING them for their own gain.

Question…did God accept you and invite you to His table because you deserved it? NO!

The way to bring RESTORATION to America is not through hatred, anger, and fighting. It is through the UNEXPECTED response of LOVE and KINDNESS

HOW we respond in this hour is going to decide whether our nation experiences healing or even greater division.

We should DISAGREE and SPEAK OUT against the things happening in our communities and nation, but HOW we do it is the KEY!

Edith Wharton said, “There are two ways of spreading light: you can be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”

Poet Robert Burns said, “The heart that is benevolent and kind most resembles God.”

Let’s decide that during this election season and every day we’re going to DO BETTER at being THE LIGHT and being GREAT REPRESENTATIVES of Jesus to those who oppose us!
