A Study of Philippians: The Mindset of Christ - Chapter 2 - Part 4

As we embark on this expository sermon series on Philippians 2, titled "The Mindset of Christ," we stand at the threshold of a transformative journey. This chapter is a profound treasure trove of divine wisdom, offering us a clear and compelling picture of how we are called to live as followers of Jesus. Embracing the Heart of Philippians 2 The Apostle Paul, writing from a Roman prison, penned these words not just to instruct but to inspire the church in Philippi—and indeed, the church universal. At the heart of Philippians 2 is a call to embrace the same mindset that characterized our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This mindset is one of humility, unity, and sacrificial love.

Tithe and Offering

2 Corinthians 9:7 KJVEvery man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. God's people have always been characterized by giving, but the way they've given has changed over time.  Giving is an important aspect of the Christian life. After all, Luke records that Jesus himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).  At Northside, we want to encourage all members to pray about giving and give as God leads them.
