HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!!
Welcome visitors
Caritas Food Item of the Month: Peanut Butter Caritas service opportunities:
Monday: Unload bakery and produce items at noon. Tuesday & Saturday: Retail store 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The men’s prayer breakfast will be hosted by the First Presbyterian men this Thursday morning at 6:30.
Remember to see Dean McCoslin for all of your household handyman needs!
Join us for a road trip and ladies' day to Canton on May 30th. There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer or let Linda Sadler know if you want to go. Morgan has agreed to take us in the new van!!!
Senior Sunday is next Sunday. We will be honoring our two seniors, Joshua Squiers and Kaeman Barker.
There will not be a fellowship meal today.

Sherrie Bailey goes back to the eye doctor tomorrow. Please pray for good news!
Laquitta and Kaden’s court date has been set for May 30th.

Paula Smith is out of the hospital but continues to be treated for an infection in her bile duct that has affected her liver. Please pray for her to be well again.
Please remember Mimi Sharp as she recovers from knee replacement surgery.
Continue to remember Dan and Tresa’s grandson, PJ, in your prayers as he anticipates his kidney transplant. His mom is a match but will need to undergo a second round of tests. If all goes well, the transplant will happen in about 6 weeks.
Kathy Pruitt Clement’s cousin, Jodie Howell Carlson, has cancer. Please pray for Jodie.
Sammie and Peggy Franklin are both having heart issues. Please be in prayer for them.
Please remember the Contreras family in your prayers as they mourn the loss of Francisco.

Ladies, mommas, Granmammas how is your prayer time?
Do we trust God to work in the small (and big) details that will come out in our prayers?
Are you asking those around you to pray for you?
Main Point:
Throughout biblical history, the narratives of praying women have been a cornerstone of spiritual growth and guidance. These women of the Bible encapsulate strength, resilience, and faithfulness through their dedicated prayer lives.
Talking Points:
These women were not extraordinary. They were everyday, normal women used by an amazing, wonderful God.

2. Mary, Mother of Jesus
Luke 1:50–55
3. Anna and Deborah
Luke 2:36–38

The Take-Away:
Prayer isn’t a tool for Christians to control God.
