Week 4
“How Long Oh Lord?”

“HOW LONG O Lord will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me, O LORD my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the LORD because he is good to me.”

“Don’t Waste Your Pain!”

God doesn’t cause our pain, but he refuses to waste it.

The question is not IF we’re going to go through times of WAITING, it’s How will we choose to WAIT when we go through times of WAITING?

When we realize God is working while we WAIT, we can WAIT with EXPECTATION.

Instead of Focusing on God’s delivery date while we’re waiting, we need to FOCUS ON GOD’S DELIVERY RATE!

Purpose can FIGHT against depression

Sometimes spiritual depression is caused because we’re running from God’s calling or purpose in our lives.

Waiting is not to be confused with inactivity.

Although WE don’t value WAITING because it’s hard…God has PURPOSE IN WAITING!

Have you ever been DISAPPOINTED because you don’t LIKE THE SOLUTION to your problem?

Naaman was ANGRY about the way God chose to help and heal him.

We don’t always like the PRESCRIPTION that God provides as the SOLUTION to our PROBLEM!

Naaman is DISAPPOINTED but he OBEYS!

When you dip once and you’re still hurting what do you do? YOU DIP AGAIN!
