Here are a few questions for 1:10 small groups, family devotions, or personal meditation, as we seek to apply God’s Word to our lives.

1. What has been your experience in reading or studying Revelation? What are you looking forward to about this new series?

2. Read Revelation 1:1-3. What one thing from this passage or sermon stood out to you most? What stretched you? Encouraged you?

3. What is the significance of the opening words of Revelation, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”? What does this tell us about the book as a whole?

4. Who is blessed by the hearing and reading of this book? How do you think they are blessed?

5. How should the phrase, “the time is near” (v 3), be understood?

Digging Deeper – Read 2 Peter 3:1-14.
6. What parallels do you find between this passage and Revelation 1:1-3?

7. What is the main idea in v 1-7? How does this strengthen us against the scoffers?

8. How does v 14 help us understand our responsibility as we wait for the Lord to return?

9. How has this week’s message and small group discussion influenced your overall attitude towards Revelation?

10. As we seek to love our neighbors and share the gospel, how can understanding the urgency of Revelation help us be more passionate about living out the Great Commission?
