Lakeview Fellowship Church is a community-focused church in Bowling Green, KY that desires to love God and to love people by sharing the love and grace of Jesus Christ and by encouraging each person to connect to the local body of believers, to grow in their faith and walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, and to equip them to faithfully serve God and His Church by the power of the Holy Spirit at work within.

I. Tetelestia - What does it mean? It means - DONE!
II. Tetelestia - What was accomplished?
4 Things Jesus Accomplished
A. His suffering was accomplished
B. The Sacrifice was fulfilled
C. Satan was defeated
D. Salvation was secured
When we put our faith in Jesus as our substitute, trusting in His finished work on the cross as full payment for the wages of our sin, four things take place:
1. Regeneration: We're given new life and become a totally new person!
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
2. Justification: We're declared righteous in spite of our sinfulness!
Romans 5:1, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
3. Adoption: We're brought into God's family!
Romans 8:15-16, “For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
4. Sanctification: We're set apart and are in the process of being changed!
Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
III. Tetelestia - why does it matter?
A. Since Jesus paid it all, there is nothing more that needs to be done.
B. Everything has been done but salvation must be received in order for it to be activated in your life.
C. If you're saved, you're saved.
You and I get in by His “done” and you and I stay in by His “done” and not by our “doing.”
D. Jesus' work is finished, but ours is just beginning
