Mk. 14:32 – “Sit here while I pray.”
Mk. 14:34 – “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and keep watch.”
Mk. 14:35 – “Jesus fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.”
Mk. 14:37 – “And he came and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, ‘Simon, are you asleep? Could you not watch one hour?’”

Mk. 14:50 – “And they all left Him, and fled.”

“They kept on saying,” Gk. ἔλεγον, plural imperfect of λέγω (legō)
Literally: “They continually kept on saying…”

vs.4-5 – “And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.”

Mk. 14:27-28 – “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ 28 But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.”

v.8 – “And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.”

“Trembling,” Gk. τρόμος (tromos), “shaking with fear.”
“Astonishment,” Gk. ἔκστασις (ekstasis), “a displacement of the mind from its ordinary state”
Acts 10:10 – “And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance.”

Truth: The resurrection changes everything for us, and nothing in us.
