Sunday, March 31 (Easter Sunday) | 10am | When God changes your life, it's worth celebrating! We're excited about the baptisms coming up on Easter. Contact Pastor Ken (kbushey@mantenonazarene.org) to go public with your faith or celebrate what God's been up to in your life! We will be doing baptisms between services around 10am.

Senior Adult Lunch 'n' Laugh
Thursday, March 21 | Noon | $10 Suggested Donation | Connect with other senior adults at a special luncheon. Professional comedian Michelle Krajecky will be bringing the laughs. Reservations have closed.

Egg-a-Yard (Youth Fundraiser)
Attention tired parents, long-distance grandparents, and silly prank enthusiasts! The youth group is at your service to "egg-a-yard" of your choice. Imagine the look of delight on the faces of your children (or, say, your favorite co-workers or adult siblings) when they wake up Easter morning to a yard covered in pre-filled, colorful, plastic eggs and a special note from you. The price is approximately $1 per egg, with discounts for higher volumes. Orders must be placed by Sunday, March 24. Hiding will take place on the evening of March 30. All proceeds go toward youth accounts for NYC and other events. Learn more and order: https://bit.ly/3V3OuH1

Manteno Baseball/Softball Equipment Exchange
It is our 3rd year of partnering with the Manteno Youth Baseball/Softball Association with the goal of helping local kids access the equipment they need to play. As such, we are looking for equipment. Containers are available outside the church and at the Manteno Public Library to drop off used bats, gloves, shoes, helmets, bags, and pants. We will collect and clean the equipment. On Saturday, March 23, from 9am-12pm, we will have a free exchange at the church for the community. So, start cleaning out your garage and let your old equipment bless a new player!

Kid's Egg Hunt
Sunday, March 24 | During the 9:00 am and 10:30am service | Changing it up this year. Kids birth through 4th grade will hunt for eggs during Children's Church on Palm Sunday. They will be dismissed after the Kids’ Moment and palm branch celebration. We would love for your kids to invite their friends! Grab egg hunt invitations from the welcome desk or children's foyer!

Prayer Vigil
Friday, March 29 | 6am - Midnight | On Good Friday, we will be praying, just as Jesus did at the Garden of Gethsemane before his death. We have a signup sheet behind the welcome desk, divided into 30-minute slots from 6am to 12am (midnight). We kindly ask that you sign up for one or two slots and use the time to pray, either at the church or somewhere else. We will provide prayer suggestions to guide you.

Manteno's Interfaith Crosswalk
Friday, March 29 | 10am | The Manteno churches come together to host this annual event where a cross is carried through our community to different churches. As we walk to each of the stops, a portion of the Easter story is read and a song is sung. A light luncheon of soup and bread will be served at the last church of the day. This year it starts at our church and ends at the Presbyterian church. The walking instructions are available at https://bit.ly/3T0UVYN If you prefer, you may drive between churches.

Good Friday Service
Friday, March 29 | 7pm | A time of remembrance and reflection upon our Lord’s death. We will start the service as one body with a time of singing and communion. Our kids will then be dismissed to the Children's Center and the adults and youth will transition to a Tenebrae service, a service of shadows.

Before I Go… You Have an Advocate
John 16:7-15
March 17, 2024

John 14:12
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

John 14:16-17
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth.”

John 14:16-17
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another parakletos to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth."

John 14:26
“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

John 16:12-13
“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

John 14:17
“The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

The Holy Spirit is the Christian’s personal life coach who is present 24/7/366.

Do we display the evidence that God is in us?

“When we are at our wits’ end for an answer, then the Holy Spirit can give us an answer. But how can He give us an answer when we are still well supplied with all sorts of answers of our own?”
–Karl Barth

Do you want to be filled with the Spirit?
Do you want to lead or are you ready to be led?

John 14:18
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

John 14:23
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

John 16:7-11
“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.”

Your future destiny is determined by your present decisions.
Who’s leading you?
