Week 2
“The Power of Alignment”

When we ALIGN ourselves with God’s Word, it means we’re AGREEING to do things HIS WAY, which creates an ALLIANCE or Partnership with Him.

First, when we ALIGN ourselves with God’s Word, the heavens open.

Second, when we ALIGN ourselves with God’s Word our problems, weights, and concerns are replaced with peace and rest.

“Then God gave the people all these instructions . I am the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. You must not have any other god but me. You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected, even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.”

God gave us the Principle of Tithing to help us, NOT TO HARM US!

Tithing is for YOUR BENEFIT!

ALIGNMENT is important because ALIGNMENT is connected to our BLESSING from God.

“Another god” is anything we put our trust in more than Jesus.

GOD IS FOR YOU not against you! He wants you to WIN IN LIFE.

The tithe refers to the FIRST 10% of what you earn.

Tithing is about bringing God the FIRST and the BEST of what we have.

Tithing is about HONORING God, it’s not about money.

What we do with our money reveals who or what we TRUST and who or what our real PRIORITY is in life.

Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s and that is in it belongs to Him.”

Job 4:11 God said, “Everything under heaven is mine.”

Haggai 2:8 says, “The silver and the gold is mine.”

1 Chronicles 29:11-12 declares “I am the Lord of ALL things.”

Deuteronomy 8:18 says, “It is the Lord that gives you the power to get wealth.”

Your Time and Talent are NOT a substitute for your TITHE!

MONEY IS NOT EVIL.

Money is not the problem…our HEART is the PROBLEM.

Proverbs 3:9-10 says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth.”

Hebrews 7:8 says, “Here mortal men receive the tithe, but there He (Jesus) receives them.”

It’s NOT the giving of 10% that produces blessing, it’s the Faith to give it FIRST that produces God’s blessing.

Malachi 3:10-12 says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it!

Put me to the test! Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “Then all nations will call you blessed, for your land will be such a delight,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.”

Tithing was never about the Law, it was about HONORING God.

“Yes, you should tithe, but do not neglect the more important things.”

The idea is that EVERY BELEIVER should offer God their First and their Best.

“Give me what belongs to me…give me your life, your talent, your treasure, and WATCH ME TAKE CARE OF YOU!”

No other god in any religion on the planet promises that!

The principle of giving God THE FIRST AND THE BEST is to HELP ME.

The way we MATURE in our GENEROSITY is by HONORING God with the FIRST and BEST!

God tells us to have no other gods before Him because He want to make sure that We are Blessed and that We WIN IN LIFE!
