Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
Do you ever find yourself asking God: "How am I doing"? What types of answers are you hoping to get when asking this question?
God's love for you and your value is displayed through Jesus's death and Resurrection. It's not based on "good works or checking boxes". How does Romans 5:8 illustrate that truth? Why is this so difficult for us as Christ-followers to fully comprehend?
Perhaps a better perspective is to ask ourselves the question: "Am I becoming more like Christ?". Read John 13:34-35. In what ways can you make changes to become more like Him?
Read Mark 8:34-35. Pastor Andy told us that all 4 gospels reference the words of Jesus captured in this scripture. Why is this message so important that it was included in all 4 gospels? What does it mean for us as Christ-followers today?

Pastor Andy said, "Those that devote themselves to themselves, end up losing themselves". How have you seen evidence of this in your life experiences?
Take some time and pray to God. Ask our Heavenly Father how you are doing at loving and living more like Him. During your prayer time, reflect on the 3 questions that Pastor Andy left us with.
1) Is my life more about spiritual activity or truly following Jesus and His ways?
2) What is keeping me from fully surrendering to the way of Jesus?
3) How can I love as Jesus has loved me?
