40 Days: Preparing for Easter

Throughout church history, the forty days of Lent have been used to reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross. “Forty days” honors the length of time used repeatedly in Bible stories as God’s people prepared for a significant change or miracle. Similarly, we use these forty days to intentionally study the implications of Jesus’ time on earth, including His death and resurrection—namely, the miraculous freedom from sin we find in Him.
