As Human Beings, are we to find our JOY only in the things we can see, hear, taste, touch and smell or is there a greater source for true JOY?

If it’s only in those things, what happens when we run out of those things?
1. Be “the PEOPLE” you want the people around you to BE!

Philippians 1:1-4...
1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with JOY

Philippians 1:5-14...
- Keep partnering with people in the Gospel…v.5
- Keep working the good works He put in YOU…v. 6
- Keep partaking in GRACE with people….v. 7
- Keep being giving Jesus-affection to people…v. 8
- Keep praying great prayers for people…v. 9
- Abounding love…v. 9
- Keen knowledge and all discernment…v. 9
- Approve what’s excellent…v. 10
- Pure and blameless…v. 10
- Filled with the Fruit…v. 11
- Keep advancing the Gospel in whatever circumstances…v. 12-13
- Embolden people with your faith to speak boldly about Jesus…v. 14
2. Have “the ATTITUDE” you want the people around you to have!

Philippians 2:1-2...
1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

ATTITUDE OF SELFLESSNESS or OTHERS FIRST
Philippians 2:3-4...
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

ATTITUDE OF SERVANT
Philippians 2:5-7...
5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
3. Have “the GOAL” in sight you want the people around you to have.

Philippians 3:12-14...
12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 4:14-16...
14 Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
4. Have “the WHATEVER IS” kind of faith you want the people around you to have.

Philippians 4:1-9...
1 Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Hebrews:12:2...
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the JOY that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
