Called2Care
Called2Care is continuing their clothing drive for the Delaware County Jail from January 21st - February 11th. Please bring to the church any new L or XL Unisex-only stretchy clothing, (sweat suit, leggings, etc.) Monetary donations are also much appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.
Ash Wednesday
We are observing Ash Wednesday on February 7th at 6:30 pm here at the church. As the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday begins our season of preparing our hearts for Easter by recognizing our brokenness and need for conversion, for a turning of our hearts to God.
Online Bible Study
Mondays @ 6:30 pm, we're continuing our Online Bible Study in the book of Matthew. Contact Pastor Dave for the Zoom link.
Journey Group Bible Study
This coming Tuesday, February 6th, there will be a Bible Study here at the church in Room 2 at 6 pm. We’ll continue in the book of Ephesians. Contact Melanie Goodman for more information.
Nursery Volunteers
We are blessed that our church is growing! We’re looking for volunteers to serve once a month in the nursery. Thank you in advance for filling this need.
Church Membership
Becoming a church member is a wonderful life-changing decision. For more information about becoming a member, contact Pastor Dave. We are currently receiving new members!
Baptism
The decision to be baptized is a joyous occasion that you want to celebrate with family members and closest friends. Are you ready to take the next step in your faith journey? If so, contact Pastor Dave to make arrangements.
Journey Group
We have a variety of options and times for our adult gatherings, called: Journey Groups. We know that everyone is on a journey with God, and we want to help you take a step. If you want to join a Journey Group, contact the church for more information.
Connection Cards
If you join us in person or online we encourage you to fill out a connection card so that we can stay in touch and make sure you aren't missing out on any church happenings! This is also a great way to leave a prayer request, submit questions or get involved with any of our groups.

MESSAGE NOTES – February 4, 2024
WHAT IS TRULY NECESSARY IN LIFE?
“Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.” – Hebrews 2:17-18 (NLT)
THAT JESUS SERVES AS OUR HIGH PRIEST
THAT JESUS BECOMES OUR SACRIFICE FOR SIN
THAT JESUS KNOWS SUFFERING IN THIS LIFE
HOW CAN WE LIVE FOCUSED ON ESSENTIAL THINGS IN LIFE?
1) WE LIVE IN FREEDOM BY BELIEVING
“But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.” – Galatians 3:22 (NLT)
2) WE LIVE AS CHILDREN BY FAITH
“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.” – Galatians 3:26-27 (NLT)
3) WE LIVE IN UNITY BY CHRIST JESUS
“There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.” – Galatians 3:28-29 (NLT)
