Called2Care
Called2Care will be starting a clothing drive for the Delaware County Jail from January 21st - February 11th. Please bring to the church any new L or XL Unisex-only stretchy clothing, (sweat suit, leggings, etc.)Monetary donations are also much appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.
Ash Wednesday
We are observing Ash Wednesday on Feb. 7th at 6:30 pm here at the church. As the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday begins our season of preparing our hearts for Easter by recognizing our brokenness and need for conversion, for a turning of our hearts to God.
Online Bible Study
This Monday, January 29th @ 6:30 pm, we’ll resume our Online Bible Study in the book of Matthew. Contact Pastor Dave for the Zoom link.
Nursery Volunteers
We are blessed that our church is growing! We’re looking for volunteers to serve once a month in the nursery. Thank you in advance for filling this need.
Church Membership
Becoming a church member is a wonderful life-changing decision. For more information about becoming a member, contact Pastor Dave. We are currently receiving new members!
Baptism
The decision to be baptized is a joyous occasion that you want to celebrate with family members and closest friends. Are you ready to take the next step in your faith journey? If so, contact Pastor Dave to make arrangements.
Journey Group
We have a variety of options and times for our adult gatherings, called: Journey Groups. We know that everyone is on a journey with God, and we want to help you take a step. If you want to join a Journey Group, contact the church for more information.
Connection Cards
If you join us in person or online we encourage you to fill out a connection card so that we can stay in touch and make sure you aren't missing out on any church happenings! This is also a great way to leave a prayer request, submit questions or get involved with any of our groups.

MESSAGE NOTES – January 28, 2024
WHAT IS TRULY NECESSARY IN LIFE?
“If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!) So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe.” – Romans 4:14-16 (NLT)
WE MUST NOT NEGATE OUR FAITH
WE MUST RECEIVE BY FAITH
WE MUST LIVE BY FAITH
HOW CAN WE LIVE FOCUSED ON ESSENTIAL THINGS IN LIFE?
1) WE LIVE BELIEVING IN THE UNBELIEVABLE
“That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, ‘I have made you the father of many nations.’ This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.” – Romans 4:17 (NLT)
2) WE LIVE HOPING IN THE IMPOSSIBLE
“Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, ‘That’s how many descendants you will have!’” – Romans 4:18 (NLT)
3) WE LIVE UNWAVERING IN AN UNCERTAIN WORLD
“And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb. Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.” – Romans 4:19-22 (NLT)
