Called2Care will be starting a clothing drive for the Delaware County Jail from January 21st - February 11th. Please bring to the church any new L or XL Unisex-only stretchy clothing, (sweat suit, leggings, etc.)Monetary donations are also much appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.
Ash Wednesday
We are observing Ash Wednesday on Feb. 7th at 6:30 pm here at the church. As the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday begins our season of preparing our hearts for Easter by recognizing our brokenness and need for conversion, for a turning of our hearts to God.
Journey Group Bible Study
January 23rd is our next Bible Study here at the church in Room 2 at 6 pm. We’ll be discussing the book of Ephesians. Contact Melanie Goodman for more information.
Online Bible Study
Next Monday, January 29th @ 6:30 pm, we’ll resume our Online Bible Study in the book of Matthew. Contact Pastor Dave for the Zoom link.
Nursery Volunteers
We are blessed that our church is growing! We’re looking for volunteers to serve once a month in the nursery. Thank you in advance for filling this need.

Becoming a church member is a wonderful life-changing decision. For more information about becoming a member, contact Pastor Dave. We are currently receiving new members!
Baptism
The decision to be baptized is a joyous occasion that you want to celebrate with family members and closest friends. Are you ready to take the next step in your faith journey? If so, contact Pastor Dave to make arrangements.
Journey Group
We have a variety of options and times for our adult gatherings, called: Journey Groups. We know that everyone is on a journey with God, and we want to help you take a step. If you want to join a Journey Group, contact the church for more information.
Connection Cards
If you join us in person or online we encourage you to fill out a connection card so that we can stay in touch and make sure you aren't missing out on any church happenings! This is also a great way to leave a prayer request, submit questions or get involved with any of our groups.

MESSAGE NOTES – January 21, 2024
WHAT IS TRULY NECESSARY IN LIFE?
“Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared, ‘It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles. For the Lord gave us this command when he said, “I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.”’ When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were chosen for eternal life became believers. So the Lord’s message spread throughout that region.” – Acts 13:46-49 (NLT)

HOW CAN WE LIVE FOCUSED ON ESSENTIAL THINGS IN LIFE?
1) WE LIVE SURRENDERED TO GOD
“‘So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!’ Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what should we do?’ Peter replied, ‘Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God,’” – Acts 2:36-38a (NLT)
2) WE LIVE IDENTIFIED WITH GOD
“… and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” – Acts 2:38b (NLT)
3) WE LIVE CALLED BY GOD
“Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” – Acts 2:38c-39 (NLT)
