Big Idea:
Live by Lady Wisdom or Die by Lady Lust.

1. Two Paths - Lady Wisdom or Lady Lust

a. Lady Wisdom represents the wisdom of God Himself and points us to Jesus.

b. Lady Lust represents Satan and all the things he uses to divert our attention away from Jesus.

2. Live by Lady Wisdom - Proverbs 7:1-5

a. Embrace Lady Wisdom's words: Keep, Treasure Up, Bind, Write, Say, Call

i. The whole person - eye, fingers, and heart - is to be dedicated to the task.

ii. The commitment we should have to Lady Wisdom is the commitment of a faithful husband to his beloved bride. (Proverbs 7:4, Song of Solomon 4:9-10)

3. Die by Lady Lust

a. Keep your way far from her - Proverbs 7:6-9

b. Four provocative lies she tells - Proverbs 7:10-20

Lie #1 - You can indulge in lust and still worship God (v. 14)

Lie #2 - You are being tempted because you are special (v. 15)

Lie #3 - You will experience nothing but pleasure (v. 16-18)

Lie #4 - You can keep this a secret (v. 19-20)

c. Following her path brings death - Proverbs 7:21-23

i. Death in Proverbs is a path that is conflict with the abundant life and blessing of God.

4. How to live by Lady Wisdom - Proverbs 7:24-27

Be attentive to God's Wisdom (v. 24)
Stay away from the path of the Lady Lust (v. 25)
Acknowledge the cost (v. 26-27)
