“Just Talk to Him"
A Habit is defined as “The regular practice of doing something frequently or automatically.”
I think the reason we don’t PRAY is because WE’VE MADE PRAYER HARDER THAN IT REALLY IS!
Get into the HABIT, or the frequent ongoing practice of “TALKING TO GOD” in the same manner that you talk to your friends.
All of us can TALK, which means ALL OF US CAN PRAY.
2. PRAYER IS NOT DETERMINED BY TIME
The length of time we talk to Jesus is NOT the most important thing.
The most important thing is that we TALK TO HIM!
ANY TIME YOU SPEND TALKING TO JESUS COUNTS!
I BELIEVE that the more you get into the HABIT of talking to Jesus the more you will WANT TO talk to Jesus.
3. PRAYER IS A CONVERSATION
The trap that many people fall into in their Prayer Life is that they DO ALL THE TALKING and they don’t LISTEN.
4. PRAYER CAN HAPPEN ANYPLACE
I can talk to God ANYTIME and ANYPLACE, which is the beauty of Prayer.
5. PRAYER IS NOT A RELIGIOUS DUTY
The word “DUTY” refers to an “OBLIGATION.”
The word Communion means, “the sharing and exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings.”
We don’t PRAY TO GET, or BECAUSE WE HAVE TO… we pray because we want to BE WITH our best friend Jesus!
JESUS IS DIFFERENT because He invites us to talk to Him and bring our burdens to Him.
6. PRAYER IS A PRIVILEGE
At the end of the day, the Purpose of Prayer is RELATIONSHIP!
In 2024 I want to challenge you to STOP OVERCOMPLICATING Prayer and JUST TALK TO JESUS!
Christianity is the ONLY religion in the world that offers a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Deity.
