To get UNSTUCK, to you need a PLAN and a POWER greater than your own.
Staying stuck is ALWAYS the absence of, insufficiency of, or the misapplication of TRUTH.
When you find yourself in your personal life repeating a cycle, there is TRUTH available to break you out of that CYCLE. But you have to move beyond KNOWING it, to FOLLOWING that truth.
The distance between the truth you KNOW and the truth you LIVE, equals the PAIN you EXPERIENCE.

The greatest barriers between you and the future you want are INSIDE of you, not OUTSIDE.

Key Truth: The hard but necessary truth is that we’re deeply FLAWED and always VULNERABLE, but completely FORGIVEN and totally ADORED by the Father.
The CONDITION of the SOIL determined the PENETRATION and the PROGRESS of the seed that was sown onto it.
In the same way, the CONDITION of a person’s heart when they are in the presence of God, listening to His Word, determines the degree to which they are able to RECEIVE, APPLY and BENEFIT from that Word.

The ROCKS are things that we mostly had NO CONTROL over – hurts, words spoken against us, traumas, even genetic predispositions.
The THORN’S on the other hand are misguided passions and a self-absorbed agenda – IDOLS of POWER, PLEASURE and POPULARITY.

Whether our hearts are full of ROCKS or THORNS, they place us in the position of being STUCK - UNFRUITFUL.
They threaten our true IDENTITY and limit our CALLING and ASSIGNMENT.
They leave GAPING HOLES in our souls.
BUT…GOD’S LOVE fills the gaping holes in our SOULS.

Anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God. Anything you seek to give you what only God can give. Anything that is so central and essential to your life, that should you lose it, your life would feel hardly worth living.””
Thomas Chalmers wrote, “The only way to dispossess the human heart of an old affection is by the EXPLUSIVE POWER of a new one.”
We don’t change and become UNSTUCK by trying to clamp down on our misplaced passions, but we change with SUPERNATURAL POWER when we rivet our attention on God’s AMAZING GRACE.
It’s God’s grace that becomes the EXPULSIVE POWER of a new AFFECTION.

If my IDENTITY is firmly in Christ and my HEART is receptive to growing through His WORD, then I can live a life that isn’t shattered by CRITICISM and isn’t always desperately thirsty for VALIDATION.
