TRANSITION is Universal. Everyone experiences them.
The issue is, DO WE EMBRACE OR RESIST TRANSITION?
When we refuse to TRANSITION we FORFEIT THE FUTURE God wants to give us!
Don’t let the MONUMENTS you’ve built in the PAST prevent you from moving forward in what I’m doing NOW!
Sometimes a GREAT PAST keeps us from A BETTER FUTURE!
1. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF TRANSITION
TRANSITION means, “to move from one state, status, place, position, condition, or posture to another.”
TRANSITION is for the purpose of advancing God’s Vision In Us and Through Us.
TRANSITION requires effort and participation from US.
First, TRANSITION is hard because it’s filled with UNCERTAINTY.
Second, Transition is hard because it’s an IN-BETWEEN PLACE.
Third, TRANSITION is hard because it’s a place where Faith is Tested.
We must not forget in the Darkness of Transition, what God promised us in the Light.
Fourth, TRANSITION is hard because it’s where we Prove to God by our actions and attitude that we’re more interested in His plan than Our plan.
Fifth, Transition is hard because it means leaving things we loved and that served us well behind.
2. WE MUST POSITION AND PREPARE OURSELVES FOR TRANSITION
What are you looking for as you enter 2024?
AN ATTITUDE OF ANTICIPATION AND EXPECTATION PUTS US IN A POSITION TO TRANSITION SO THAT WE CAN RECEIVE ALL GOD HAS FOR US.
Joshua 1:11, God told Joshua and the people, “Go throughout the camp and command the people, saying, ‘PREPARE your provisions, for within three days you are to) CROSS OVER (TRANSITION) the Jordan River to take possession of the land which the Lord is giving you to possess as an inheritance.’”
What do you need to do that you haven’t done to Prepare for and Embrace Transition.
3. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT GROWTH AND BLESSING REQUIRES TRANSITION
EMBRACING TRANSITION leads us to NEW PATHWAYS, which will then produce NEW GROWTH in us personally and corporately.
4. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT TRANSITION IS WORTH IT!
TRANSITION is the DOOR that leads to MORE!
Positioning ourselves for TRANSITION begins with making a DECISION.
Positioning ourselves for TRANSITION means PREPARING.
