Declutter | Cynthia Evans
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17 ESV)Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

(Matthew 21:12-13 NLT) Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves.13He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!”

(Matthew 23:25-26 NLT) “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence! 26 You blind Pharisee! First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too.”
THE CORE 4 Method by Kayleen Kelly, Professional Organizer
1. Clear Out. This first step involves removing everything from the room that doesn't belong there.

(Psalm 139:23-24 MSG) Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong—then guide me on the road to eternal life.
2. Categorize. Once you've cleaned out everything that doesn't belong in the room, it's time to take stock of everything you own. You might need to do this in sections.

(Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT) Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tender hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
3. Cut out. Decide whether you want to keep or eliminate it.

(1 John 2:6 AMP) Whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself.
4. Contain. Make sure you keep and store all items in their categories, making them easy to find and pack away.

(1Peter 5:8 ESV) Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

(1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV) No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
