Will the Agape Love of God Last?
------------
Paul points to the Second Advent of Christ as reason, proof and evidence of the never ceasing love of God.
Never celebrate Christ’s first advent without thinking about His second.
When the perfect comes:
------------
1. Close of Cannon - No
2. Maturation of Church - No
3. Eternal State - Yes
1. Temporary vs Permanent
------------
Spiritual Gifts:
- Are not childish or childlike or immature - this is a contrast between now and the future
- Have built in obsolescence
- Do not survive the transition from this age into the fullness of the age to come
- Are provisions for an imperfect world
- Are good and necessary but when the sun comes up you don't need a flashlight anymore.

All spiritual gifts are for this life only and will at some point in the future terminate, love is permanent, love is eternal, love never ends. That is why love is superior to gifts and why gifts exercised without love are worthless.
2. Indirectly vs Directly
------------
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face...

- Does not mean distorted
- Could be fuzziness
- Primarily direct vs indirect
3. Partial vs Complete
------------
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

Example of Jesus washing the disciples'' feet in the Upper room and saying, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterwards you will understand”.
So now faith, hope, and love abide (remain / continue):
------------
All are present, not just “when the perfect comes,” but now.
When the perfect comes:
------------
- Love: for God for one another
- Faith: belief in and reliance on God
- Hope: expressing confidence and trust in God
The Great of These is Love. Why?
------------
1) It is the true, lasting, genuine mark of Christ followers. (John 13:35)
2) Circumstance of life don’t negate or disproves God’s love.
3) It is unearned, undeserved, unmerited favor from God.
Is God’s agape love for me legit and will it really last?
