Thereās a lot of New Age teachings making its way into Christianity that is turning people of God away from the Truth. Teachings that say, there is no Hell, there is no judgment, in fact the word āobedienceā is offensive. We are free and to use the word we are to obey or to whatās right in Godās eyes feels condemning and heavy. As if because we are invited into relationship with Jesus that this means we do not have to obey. Relationship with Jesus does not replace obedience and faithfulness to Jesus! This is rebellion. And in this provoking, we see this in OT and NT, that God administers HIS JUDGMENT AND BRINGS HIS JUSTICE to the HOUSE OF GOD FIRST!!
NOTICE THE ONLY THING THAT COULD SAVE THEM WAS REPENTANCE! CRYING OUT FOR THE SIN OF THEIR NATION! THOSE THAT WERE MARKED OR DISTINCT FROM THE REST HAD A MARK PLACED ON THEIR FOREHEADS TO SET THEM APART, THIS MARK WAS PALCED ON THOSE WHO CRIED OUT AND REPENTED FOR THE SINS OF THEIR NATION!
This is why the Bible tells you to deal with the plank in your own eye first, SO THAT YOU MAY SEE CLEARLY! SO THAT YOU MAY KNOW BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG, GOOD AND EVIL!!

THE IDOL OF SELF IS SO ADDICTING, the greatest temptation, because you feel you should get that accolade, you should get that appreciation, and if I donāt, Iāll make sure I do. And we begin to fight for our OWN GLORY STEALING GLORY FROM THE ONE THAT DESERVES IT ALL!

THIS IS WHY JUDGMENT FELL ON HIM, BECAUSE THE GOD OF JUSTICE CANNOT BE INTIMATE WITH A PEOPLE THAT SIT BY AND DO NOTHING WHEN INJUSTICE SURROUNDS THEM BECAUSE HE IS A GOD OF JUSTICE!
THE IDOLIZATION OF SELF WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HEAR OR SEE WHAT IS RIGHT IN GODS EYES BECAUSE YOU ARE FULLFILLING WHATS RIGHT IN YOUR EYES!
YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS CHURCH!
You cannot say I believe in Jesus and then live the way you want! Take the credit, serve yourself, use the resources God has blessed you with for what you want, what makes you feel good, live and do what I like and pleases me, but I still believe in Jesusā¦ no. This lifestyle or these deeds prove you are intimate with another God, not Jesus, but SELF.

The rich ruler gives a āgood soundingā plea, that Abraham doesnāt fall for, he begins to ask for a dead man to be raised to prove to his brother's hell is realā¦ or he asks for a SIGN!
He is pleading for a SIGN! They have the book of Moses and the prophets, the breath of God, yet they didnāt believe and now He is pleading for a dead man to be raised or a great sign or miracle to save his brother's.. Jesus had warned of this when He said:

THEY YELL: āSET FREE THE MURDERER, THE ONE WHO KILLS, AND MURDER INSTEAD THE ONE WHO GIVES LIFE!! (SOUNDS LIKE THE CHANTS OF TODAY!) JESUS GIVES HIMSELF UP TO DIE FOR US AND IS RISEN ON THE THIRD DAYā¦ FROM DEATH TO LIFEā¦ THIS WASNāT ENOUGH FOR THOSE THAT HAVE CHOSEN TO SERVE SELF, TO SERVE WORLDY WAYS, FLESHLY WAYS!!
BUT HE IS ENOUGH! JESUS IS ENOUGH! HE NEVER HAS TO DO ANOTHER THING, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR YOU TO PUT ALL YOUR FAITH IN CHURCH!
