Week 4: God’s Truth
Message Summary: Truth comforts and truth confronts, but truth is always good for our souls. When Jesus came to Earth full of grace and truth, his every word was honest and his every attention was pure. That’s why Jesus is always good for our souls.

✦ Truth is…
❖ The way things really are — according to God.
❖ His unchangeable standard by which all things are measured.

Planting Jesus Roots
GATHER — Explain how this is true: Without weekly worship, grace and truth fade or become imbalanced in our heart and life.
GROUP — Going forward, do you need to give more thought to God’s grace or his truth? Why? Discuss with your family or friends.
GROW — Read the following references from John’s Gospel that include the word “truth.” What further insights do these add to today’s message? John 4:23-24; 8:31-32; 14:6; 16:13; 17:17; 18:37-38.
GIVE — Two more weeks to give to our special matching donation campaign!
GO — Last call: Who will you invite to our Christmas services next week?
Homework: John 1:1-18
