INTRODUCTION

“Away in a manger, no crib for a bed. The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head. The stars in the sky look down where He lay; The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.”

“The cattle are lowing, the poor baby wakes, but little Lord Jesus no crying He makes.”

2 Corinthians 13:11 – “Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

“Rejoice,” Gk. χαίρω (chairō), “to be glad, to be joyful, to be full of joy”

2 Cor. 2:4 – “For I wrote to you out of much affliction and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you.”

2 Cor. 13:10 – “For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.”

Rom. 5:8 – “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Truth: Unity in the essential things, diversity in the non-essential things, charity in all things.

V. IN HARD CONVERSATIONS BEING RECEIVED

v.11 – “Live in peace,” Gk. εἰρηνεύω (eirēneuō), “to work towards peace or to cultivate peace”
