God’s Church Conclusion
The Future of the Church

Matt 16:18

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Acts 13:47-49

Jesus prayed we would see His glory.

John 17:24

Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

We will be like Him

1 John 3:2-3

we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

We will be with Him

1 Thess 4:13-18

John 14:1-3

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

Tribulation

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

The Judgment Seat of Christ

Rom 14:10-12

Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.“12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

2 Cor 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

1 Cor 3:10-15

We will reign with Him

Rev 5:9-10

And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.“

Why did we do this Series?

We have lost clarity of our purpose.

2. We want to value what God values and God values His church.

3. We want to understand God’s purpose and plan for His church.

To reflect God’s Light to a dark world Matt 5:14-16

2. To proclaim God’s Praises on earth. 1 Peter 2:9

3. He created the church to glorify Himself. Eph 1;6,12-14

4. God chose us to spread the gospel throughout the World.
Acts 1:8

Questions we need to answer:

Do I really need to come to church? Heb 10:25

What is in it for me, What do I get out of it?

Why the need to buy in to church? Acts 20:28

What do we want to see happen as a result

of this Series?

We would understand we need each other.

2. We would recognize that we are part of something

bigger and greater than us.

What do we want to see happen as a result

of this Series?

3. Whatever God sees fit to do.

4. We would, by God’s grace, commit ourselves to God and the mission of the church.
