Random acts of violence are defined as "Crimes that happen suddenly, without warning or explanation." We don't have to go far to see examples of that. Just turn on the nightly news.
The Samaritan showed Jesus' light through the random act of violence by: loving others deeply, offering hospitality and serving others by grace.
Andy Stanley - "One of the easy to criticize things about our faith is that we turn to God when bad things happen, believing that He could have kept them from happening in the first place."
Their faith was anchored in the fact that the worst random act of violence (the crucifixion of Jesus), resulted in the best possible outcome (the resurrection)!
So, what anchors our faith during random acts of violence?... The Resurrection!
