Good morning!

This summer certainly illustrated well just how important deep, healthy roots are to sustaining plant life, hasn't it? Our souls, our families, and our community is no different. To sustain a healthy life through the hard times, the roots need to go deep. In this series, we'll look at what the Scriptures teach about having healthy spiritual roots.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians2:6-7

ARE YOU READY TO RESPOND TO GOD'S GRACE FOR YOU TODAY?

• Our response begins with putting our faith in Christ. (Romans 1:16)• We repent (meaning we put our past sins behind us and start following Jesus). (Acts 3:19)

• Confess our faith that Christ is the Son of God (Romans 10:9).

• Mark the end of our old life and the beginning of the new life in Christ through baptism. (Acts 3:38-9; 22:16; Romans 6:3-4)

• From here on, Christ calls us to a life of loving God and loving our neighbors, growing in our knowledge of his word, and being led by his Spirit as we serve others for a bigger purpose, preparing one another for the life and reward ahead when we will meet him face to face.
